Early Childhood, Early Intervention (ECEI) Service
28 August 2020When we think of NDIS, the words National Disability Insurance Scheme jumps to mind.
However, did you know that this scheme is quite broad in nature and offers a range of different support services?
One crucial support service under the NDIS is the Early Childhood, Early Intervention (ECEI) service.
The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) is set up for children aged under 7.
ECEI is a fantastic FREE service that can support you and your family over the phone and via email.
It is the link for when you are needing some extra support with your child’s development or even some strategies to get things running smoothly!
ECEI can even be used to assist or navigate the trickier but frustrating smaller things, such as fussy eating, sleep issues, or toileting problems.
It’s also a great tool to help with navigating the NDIS or even linking up to medical/community services.
Your child does not need to have a diagnosed disability to access this service.
ECEI has recommended to us that the first step in their process is to go ahead and give them a call.
From here, they can start to help with personalised strategies. They will also assist to organise connections with services where appropriate and necessary.

Also, please remember that your child’s Integricare centre is also a point of support. If unsure about something or need to open a conversation to reach some assistance, do not hesitate to discuss it with the team.
