Integricare’s early learning centre at Northmead, in partnership with Parramatta Baptist church, provides a preschool program perfect for busy families. The centre offers extended hours from 7:30am-6:00pm and remains open during school holidays. Places are available for children aged 6 weeks old to 6 years old. Northmead Early Learning Centre offers a preschool curriculum operating in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), providing crucial early learning development and a School Readiness Program for attending children.
Northmead Early Learning Centre champions Integricare’s purpose to enable children, families and communities to experience the love of Jesus, as well as Integricare’s core mission objectives. Firstly, the pursuit of excellence in early learning to ensure that these most crucial developmental years for the children are full of learning opportunities. Secondly, Northmead staff endeavour to equip and care for families holistically – going the extra mile to engage and support children and their families. Thirdly, engagement with the local community is important to the centre. This includes shared activities with Parramatta Baptist Church.
Hot lunches and healthy snacks are provided – with dietary needs catered for.
The giving of love is an education in itself.
– Eleanor Roosevelt
Integricare’s early learning centre at Northmead is located on the grounds of Parramatta Baptist church, and the long day care is directly supported by the churches ministry activities. The church contributes a Christian influence to the early learning and development of the children, with regular visitations from ministry staff as well as sharing in collaborative community events.
Vanessa and her team cater for 39 children and work closely with the church to offer families a holistic and engaging experience. The team of professionals at Northmead Early Learning Centre provide a long day care environment that is warm, nurturing and inviting to all families within the community. Dedicated and experienced staff provide individualised programs that foster each child’s interests and enhance their personal learning journey. We encourage parental involvement alongside actively seeking to work collaboratively with Parramatta Baptist Church.
When did you start in early learning?
I spent a great deal of my childhood in and around early education services as my mum also works in the sector. I formally began working and studying in ECE in 2012.
Why did you get into early learning?
I have great satisfaction being able to help others, so becoming a teacher was a given. As a teacher, I can positively influence a child’s way of thinking or doing. You get the opportunity to contribute to making their future, one that is bright and productive. Although the early years are recognised as being the most important time for learning, it is still an area of education that is greatly undervalued. I continue to enjoy working and studying in this field, advocating for my colleagues, being all educators and early childhood teachers, and the importance of the work they accomplish with young children.
What gives you the most amount of satisfaction?
Seeing progress and change in children, my team, myself, the service and in the sector. This can be from small successes like a productive meeting with a work colleague, or watching children interact in a transformed learning environment.
What is most important to you?
I have wonderful memories as a child attending pre-school. I remember my educators, the experiences, excursions and my friends – many of whom I still have contact with. I hope that I’m able to offer the same opportunities and memories for the children in my care.
What is your favourite early learning quote?
“Our task is to educate their whole being so they can face the future. We may not see the future, but they will and our job is to help them make something of it” -Sir Ken Robinson
In this day and age, it’s great to have a centre that promotes traditional family and Christian values. I feel that my child is in safe hands.

The outdoor area is a pleasure to be in and my toddler finds it fascinating and inviting. Natural play materials are inviting and challenging. Such a great space to learn and develop in.

Thanks for letting us know about our child’s development at Integricare. We also appreciate the observation notes you’ve provided regarding her speech. We are so grateful that she has such a patient and companionate teacher. You really put the “care” in “daycare”. Please extend our thanks to the team for all the wonderful things you’ve taught our daughter.

We would like to thank you for all your hard work, support and encouragement that you have given in the rainbow group. My son loved every minute of preschool and always came home full of enthusiasm and stories to tell. I want to take the opportunity to say "thank you" for your kindness, friendly behaviour, patience and discipline.

Both my kids with autism spectrum disorder have had wonderful experiences with Integricare, and I myself have experienced great friendship and comfort from staff.

I love the teachers! How they care so much for my child. One of them takes extra effort to put my baby to sleep which is I think very exceptional!

Educators are very caring and nurturing. I feel confident leaving my child with educators even when he is upset with separation anxiety.
