The children of Integricare Drummoyne express gratitude for the land on which they are privileged to enjoy preschool every day.
“We touch the ground and think of all the children who have played on this land before us. As we gather at preschool today we acknowledge the Wanegal people of the Eora nation as the original custodians of this land. We lift our hands and give thanks that we can play here too!”
The acknowledgment of country is prioritised by Integricare Drummoyne staff and loved by the children. It’s a lesson in gratitude as the children come to understand the history of the land on which they learn.
